A Polk County Fire Rescue captain was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he pressured a paramedic to help him steal three doses of the coronavirus vaccine for his elderly mother. Capt. Anthony Damiano, 55, turned himself in to the Polk County Jail, where he was booked on a felony charge of official misconduct and a misdemeanor theft charge, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
