Florida coronavirus deaths nearly double in a month as new cases continue decline

The Florida Department of Health reported 87 new resident deaths on Monday, bringing the death toll to 9,539, nearly double the fatalities from a month ago. On July 17, the state had reached 4,805 resident deaths from the virus.
