Officer Kevin Valencia, gravely wounded during call, retires from OPD, shows signs of improvement

An Orlando police officer who has been in a coma for over two years after being shot in the head during a domestic violence call was awarded the purple heart at his retirement ceremony on Tuesday, a press release said.
