Florida COVID-19 cases continue to climb: Over 53,000 new cases reported in the past week

From Sunday to Sunday, Florida saw 53,213 new cases and 473 newly reported deaths in state health department data. To date, 938,414 people have tested positive for COVID-19 statewide, and 17,991 residents have died.
